g'morning london

g'morning london.

For the first project of my final year, I chose to work with sound. A brief written by a small group of final year students. The project asks to design a musical instrument or means by which people can discover and explore sounds. For a one-year project, this might be possible; developing an instrument which produces sounds, engineering the hardware and software, but for a two week project, I decided to focus my project on researching sound, exploring them on software and hardware.

I wanted to capture the average londoner's awakenings to a typical london morning. Birds in the morning, buses and cars going passed your second floor window, your flatmate on the first coffee of the day, etc. I produced an alternative for an alarm, which you can use to wake up to the suitable environment.

To use the alarm, download Alarm Clock 2 by Robbie Hanson if you don't have it yet.
